When a car travels around a curve in the road, what helps to keep the car traveling in a curved path?

The friction between the tires and the road keeps the car from skidding off the road. If there is not sufficient friction, then the car would slide straight off of the road as opposed to around the corner. Hope this helps! :)

A car traveling around a curve is kept on the path by the friction between the tires and the road. This friction creates a centripetal force that pulls the car toward the center of the curve. Adequate tire condition and road surface are essential for safe turning.
