The cell maintains its internal environment by the process of HOMEOSTASIS. Homeostasis is the process by which living cells keep their internal environment constant. Maintaining homeostasis is very important because the survival of the living organism depend on it; a cell which can not maintain constant internal environment will die.

Homeostasis is the process by which a cell maintains its internal environment in a stable condition, crucial for its survival and function. It involves monitoring changes, activating response mechanisms, and maintaining a dynamic equilibrium. By ensuring that vital conditions such as temperature and pH are kept steady, cells can perform their necessary functions effectively.
