- The other person has 5 large boxes packed with small boxes and 10 small boxes not packed.

Each large box can hold 7 small boxes. This was determined by setting up an equation based on the total number of boxes each person had and solving for the unknown value. The equation showed that both individuals initially had the same total number of small boxes when considering the large boxes and the unboxed small boxes they had.
