If you had to subtract 426 from 913, how many times would you need to regroup?

Asked by aisevers

Answer (3)

913
- 426
487 would be your total but your question is how many times we would have to regroup, so.

First, you would have to borrow from the 1 because 3 is smaller then 6. Second, you would have to borrow from the 9 because you can't take 2 from 0. So there you would have to regroup twice to work this problem.
Hope that helps you. :-)

well u would have to subtract the other way around so 913-426=487 but since it is the other way around (426-913) our answer 487 would be negative so our answer would be -487 u would regroup 3 (three) times hope this helped !

To subtract 426 from 913, you regrouped twice: once in the units place and once in the tens place. After regrouping, the final answer is 487. So, you would need to regroup twice .
