No. Wen u multiply 7 by 5 U can get 35 but wen u multiply 5 by 5 U get 25 not 10

The ratio 35 to 10, when simplified, becomes 7 to 2, which is not the same as the ratio 7 to 5. Cross-multiplying also shows that the products of the two ratios are not equal, confirming that the ratios are not proportional.

When comparing whether two ratios are proportional, you can set up a proportion and solve it. In this case, the student is asking if the ratio 35 to 10 is proportional to the ratio 7 to 5. To determine this, we can compare the ratios by simplifying them or by cross-multiplying to see if they yield the same result.
To simplify, divide both numbers in the first ratio by the greatest common divisor, which is 5 in this case:
35 / 5 = 7
10 / 5 = 2
So, the simplified ratio is 7 to 2, which is not the same as 7 to 5.
Alternatively, you can cross-multiply:
(35 × 5) = 175
(10 × 7) = 70
Since 175 does not equal 70, the two ratios are not proportional.
Therefore, the answer is no, the ratio 35 to 10 is not proportional to the ratio 7 to 5.

The ratio 35 to 10 is not proportional to the ratio 7 to 5. When simplified, they yield different values. Therefore, they do not represent the same proportional relationship.
