We want to divide whole sand into scoops, so we have to divide 4/5 by 1/20. Lets do this
20 1  5 4   We know that if we want to divide 2 fraction we can multiply first by inverse of second fraction instead of dividing.,so: 20 1  5 4   5 4  ∗ 1 20  = 5 ∗ 1 4 ∗ 20  = 5 80  = 16 scoops - its our result.

6, because 4/5 = 8/10 - 5/10 = 3/10 x 2 = 6/20 divided by 1/20 = 6 scoops ;

Maria can get 16 scoops of sand from the science supplies. This is found by dividing 5 4 lb of sand by 20 1 lb per scoop. The calculation shows that she can take 16 scoops in total.
