Who won the Vietnam War?

Many say that North Vietnam won. The reason being is that the U.S pulled out in order to avoid further military losses and also to prevent the president to gain unpopularity in which many Americas were against the war. The Americans have been considered to have loss because they formed a "truce" but never a official "peace" with North Vietnam and instead abandomed South Vietnam and slipped away from the conflict.

The conclusion of the Vietnam War saw the United States withdraw its troops after a peace agreement in 1973 during the Paris peace conference under President Richard Nixon. Despite military successes in numerous engagements under General William Westmoreland, the North Vietnamese forces, with their guerilla warfare tactics, ultimately prevailed. In 1975, after the full withdrawal of U.S. military forces, North Vietnam launched an invasion that resulted in the fall of South Vietnam, unifying the country under a communist government led by H o Chi Minh's successors.
While the U.S. succeeded in many tactical military engagements, the war's outcome was a strategic defeat for the U.S.-backed South Vietnamese government. The war had significant human costs, including over 58,000 U.S. military casualties and millions of Vietnamese from both the North and South. The aftermath saw a mass exodus of refugees from South Vietnam and severe impacts on the Vietnam's infrastructure and economy.
