The Preamble of the U.S. Constitution outlines the government’s purposes as established by the Founding Fathers, which include forming a more perfect union, establishing justice, ensuring peace, providing for defense, promoting general welfare, and securing liberty. These concepts highlight the responsibilities of the government to its citizens and set the stage for the Constitution's structure. The Preamble emphasizes that the government is created by the people for the benefit of the people.
