a hundredth is 2 places to the right of the decimal point. then u look at the number on the right side of the 2nd place to the right of the decimal point. so if the number is 17.24578 you would look at 5, but the number to right of that is above 5 (7). and the number to the right of 7 is also above of 5(8). soo u round 7 to 8, then and then the 5 to 6, and then lastly the 4 to 5. so the answr would be 17.25 :) hope it helped
