The answer is 5 boxes. First we have to do 60 x 2 to find out the area of the walkway (120 ft). Then since the tiles are 2 by 2 feet and come in 6 boxes we do, 2 x 2 to find the area of 1 tile, which is 4 ft, then we multiply that by 6 to find out the total amount of tiles which is 24. We then divided 120 by 24 to find out how much boxes we will need which is 5. Hope that helped :)
Sean and his dad need a total of 5 boxes of tiles to cover their 60-foot by 2-foot walkway. This was calculated by first determining the area of the walkway, then the area one box of tiles can cover. Finally, dividing the total area needed by the area one box covers gives the total number of boxes required.
