I believe Robert Frost based a lot of his poems on circumstances that life put him through. For example his life was surrounded by death, family issues, and isolation, which is reflected in many of his poems. The one things that seemed to bring comfort to him was nature. We see a lot of nature references/descriptions in his poems. Those are the two major themes that stand out to me. Hopefully this helps.

Robert frost's Poems usually deals with Nature, Communication, Everyday Life, Isolation of the Individual, Duty, Rationality versus Imagination and Rural Life versus Urban Life . He is lover of nature and writes poems basically related to our everyday lives and decisions that one have to make in his/her life.Some of his poems are The Road Not Taken, Fire and Ice etc .
